telling when female?

hey there hav 10 plants going and there about 2 months old. maby one and a half... theres one about a foot and a half tall.. how do i tell if their female?? should i take a magnifine glass next time i go to chek on them??

the next time you look at them, look at the nodes where the new branches are growing from. If there are little balls there they are males. if there are little balls there with two hairs poking out they're females.

and if ther eis nothing your plants have not revealed sex yet, it will begin to show pre-flowers as the days get shorter

my buddy has 3 outdoor clones which are already 3 feet tall and are showing maaaad pre-flowers full of trichomes, not forgetting these are clones. I have 11 outdoor plants which are 1 foot and 10 inches tall, 9 showing signs of female and 3 undetermined, but in canada on the east ontario side, i would still wait a month and a half or so before checking again

Dude a magnifing glass will greatly help you see PRE-flowers. Sometimes they are so small only those with perfect vision and seasoned grows can really tell. So as a rule of thumb female preflowers are very small tear drop shaped and grow in the crotch of the branch area of the node. Male preflowers usually look like little protrusions growing out of the node area. Here is a good site with magified pictures of male and female preflowers. They most likely were taken with a macrolense for them to be such a good close-up shot. Kind of what you can expect using a magnifing glass. Check it out. Hope this helps bro!!!

Brado you should be able to see the pistils on this pic, if you have to click it again after it take you to the larger pic. These are pretty easy to see if you know where to look, right at the nodes where the main stem and leaf stem meets. They got to be pretty old to see pre-flowers, like at least 8 weeks usually.

Depending on the strain, sometimes you have to wait to tell. Sativas tend to show sex later, as much as a month. Also males tend to show sex a little sooner. I have some AK and WW that have already shown their sex. For females, look for wispy little hairs at the nodes, about 2 or three nodes from the top. If you see club like pods, that's a male.

so i was down at my plants 2days ago and it seems theres something duno if its leaves coming in or what its wayy too small to see i could barley see it. how long does it take for the male seed to polunate. btw ide like to get some seeds for next year as well so do i keep the males and plant them else where or what??

how long after the summer solstice should it take for them to show sex? My outdoors are 3 months old, started inside and about 6 feet tall.
