quick questions, most of yall should be able to help

ok i got a few questions i need some help with.

1. i have and outdoor grow going on right now on the top of my roof. the plants are about 2 weeks old and im worried about their stems and their size. the stems are very skinny, flimsy, and weak. they are holding the plant up, but i just think they should be stronger than they are now at 2 weeks. the plants are also only 4 inches tall. is this normal for 2 weeks of outdoor growing?

2. i need some advice on nutes for an outdoor grow. but im new to the game, so idk ANY lingo or terms, so what i need is someone to tell me EXACTLY what i need to have written down on paper to walk into the garden store, show a worker the names of the nutes, and have them get them for me. i need to know what nute to use for veg and which to use for flowering

3. i have been seein diff stuff about nutes here on the city, but some of it is confusing. can someone please explain what the numbers, like 0,1 1,1 2,2 all those numbers like that mean?

lastly

4. how often and how much nute do i add to the soil? will i use some sort of a measuring cup or something? and do i just sprinkle it over the top of the soil?

ok, so maybe those arent really quick questions, but i need some help badly. really appreciate anyone who can respond. thanks alot guys

First of all take the plants off ur roof, find a better spot or you probably shudn't grow...my opinion , but in soil you can use any kind of nutes you want, hydroponics is when you need different nutes and shit, but I use Dyna-Grow/read te back labels on the under the DIRECTIONS it will tell you what it's for..... Hydro is really easy you shud lean, stay on grasscity and just look at people pictures

i live in the country, but i have no open fields or anything, so my roof is a good spot IMO because it gets direct sunlight all day

Hi there Bongman.

I'll skip the small talk and answer your questions.

1. Wind exposure and weather will help develop a strong stem. Getting both of them on your plants will significantly strengthen them.

2. I can't really help with this as we have different brands of Nutes here in the UK, but do a general search for plant food looking for higher Nitrogen levels etc which leads onto...

3. The numbers mean the percentage of different nutrients in the mix. 20-16-10 is 20% Nitrogen - 16% Phosphorus - 10% Potassium.

Nitrogen is essential in Vegative growth, Phosphorus for the roots and Potassium for for Strength and Flowers.

Hope that helped a little bit.

-JC

yes, it did, thanks
so for the stems, if i were to put some fans blowing on them to make them sway a little, the stems should strengthen?

Correct. It's part of their natural defense system so more wind = thicker stem.

Though it's rare, too much air blowing on em can cause a lot of stress and possibly turn your plants male. If you get a fan try and find/get an Oscillating one so the whole plant/plants get an even amount of air and because it's spread over an open area it will overall be less stress for them.

(Did that make sense? It's the evening now so I'm getting progressively more baked )
