Indoor / Outdoor Grow Problem

I have some questions about my first Outdoor grow. I started off the plant hydroponically, to germinate (I will post some pictures of what I started it on later), and accidentally left it in there for a while. Thus, the plant (I believe) is stunted. Some symptoms experienced is: A very long stem (abnormally long, 3" or 8 centimeters [actually 7.6]), and it hasn't been growing.

I also moved it from the water to potting-mix, and I have been diligently watering and feeding it (although, not over watering and feeding), and giving it sunlight every day. Currently it is in my room, although as soon as it is over the shock of change of soil (I did search the forums lol) I was planning to move it to a site outside (as I live on a huge property, and no po-po's snoop around). I germinated the plant sometime last week (I did very poor journal work, I have forgotten when I put the seeds in), and moved it into soil this Monday.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks

Well, i dont know much about hydroponics and i am kind of confused about the whole deal your going through. If you have the plant in the soil and the stem is like 7 centimeters tall without many leaves that means when you where growing you have the lights to far away and it caused the plants to stretch. It is a very common problem and if you put it out in the sun or move your lights closer everything should turn out fine.

If you only started your germination last week DO NOT FEED THEM FERTILIZER this is bad for them because they are young. All plants are different and thus need to be fed at different times.

I am sure someone on the forums will tll you when the best time to feed your plants are.

Best of luck!
