I read the sticky but I just got a few questions.

How well does cannabis seeds grow? If I plant a seed in soil and water it what are the chances of it growing? 99%? 50%? 20%?

When I first grow should I start the plant in a plastic pot first or would it be safe to go right out in the woods and find a sunny spot and bury the seed in the dirt?

How deep should the seed be buried to make sure it grows right and once it gets mature stays supported?

I'm assuming mother nature will do a lot of the work as far as sun light and darkness?
How much do I want to water it per week? Do I even really have to water it at all if the ground is moist from rain?

If it's raining hard do you guys usually just let it go and not water it for awhile instead to make up for it or do you cover your plant with a small tarp with something support it?

How long does the process between planting the seed and harvest usually take?

Why do people want the female plants instead of the male? More potency or what?

When should I be worried about mold?

Pretty Good

If its a viable seed I think 99%, germing one in wet paper towels works too

Id grow it indoors in a pot first, or at least in a pot outdoors where animals cant get to it

quarter of an inch deep

Depends on the size of the plant and how much rain you been getting

Nope

If its in the ground or in a pot with drainage holes, you dont got to worry too much about it

You harvest in the fall and it depends on the strain but most outdoor strains will finish between Sept. 15th and Oct. 15th

Why do people want the female plants instead of the male? More potency or what?

Male plants dont produce bud, only pollen sacs, if you want buds you want unpollinated females, so you need to remove all the males before their pollen sacs open and pollinate the females, you will just get mostly seeds if not in the female buds and very little smokable bud.

When should I be worried about mold?

When the weather starts getting chilly and moist at night, October usually where I live. Sometimes earlier, sometimes later, depends on how the weather is going
