i have a plant that has been in a pot but transplanted it the other evening after the sun was behind the trees but just enough light to see. it stand up good and strong all day long till the evening sun hits it then droops over. it recovers every day.

when i transplanted it i poured some root stimulator in the hole then filled the hole and watered with some rain water i collect when it rains. its in some really sandy soilbeside a tree so i water it every morning before the sun gets hot.

i was told that it could be a female cause they are weak and fragile but i also know to wait till it flowers to be for sure.

my question is what could be causing this & is it normal?

i wouldnt have it next to a tree. it could be competing with the tree roots. also, the sun might not get to it too much. i cant imgaine planting next to a tree and getting any sun at all. it needs direct sunlight and ive also never heard of females being weaker or slouching being a normal thing.
