Growing Problem

Hopefully someone on here can give me some advice on my current problem. I found a nice plot thats very secluded and gets a lot of sun. I planted a shit load of seeds and after so long a bunch of them started sprouting. Then one day I went to visit and 3 of my biggest plants were chewed off. I was so pissed off that I went got a hammer and nailed acouple boards to a tree (about 7or8 ft high) and tansplanted the rest of my plants into pots and put them on the boards. My question is Will the deer ever leave my plants alone once they reach a certain size? Should I keep them in pots and not replant them in the ground? If so then will the plant not grow as big? What can I do to keep the deer away? If I stop the deer will I have to worry about rabbits eating it?

First time posting and growing.

Well, if you felt safe enough to do the tree thing you did, you probably could bring in some chicken wire and make cages. After awhile the deer will leave them alone usually, but if they are hungry enough nothing will stop them. The plants will grow bigger in the ground with good soil than in pots. Unless you use huge containers. Hope this helps you out.

Chicken Wire cages are real easy to make, get a roll and diagonal cutters(dykes) and just roll a circle around the plant and fasten the two ends with something like wire ties. Try to bury it like 3 inches in the ground so wind doesnt knock it over

Good Luck
