7 WW Planted Gurilla Grow

Well I started my 7 white widdow 2 months back, and today was the time to plant. What a relief to have them out of my room, because the rest of the occupants of this house were starting to get annoyed with the smell of ONA.

Any how now they are finally out of my dresser and into the best that the 'wild' can offer around here... I think that is a 80% location. I had brought along some pertalite and soil moist incase the soil was suspect, but it turned out in the location, (that I found on google maps), ended up being great.

It's by a body of water, and when I dug up the dirt it was pretty crumbly, dark black rich, and had a couple of earth worms in it and it was a bit moist to the touch, and it hasn't really been raining too often; and they have a decent bank on the water for rises.

I obviously have to hold back on saying to much about it, but I will hazard some pictures when I go check on it next; my grow buddy is bringing binoculars, and we'll go bird watching.

Right now only 3 of them were showing sex, so I can say that I have 3 females, and the other four are smaller and haven't shown sex... I'll update as they do.

The first spot we looked at we had a farmer jump out of his tractor and tell us that the road was a private road. I had known of a creek near by there that feeds into the river, but since he was there today, it turned out being a no go there for sure. (and I'm glad we didn't).

The next spot I had spotted on google maps, just by searching my surounding areas for what I was looking for. :P

I guess if you know what your looking for you'd find them

yeah thats what i hate about growing outside. especially in a heavily populated area, theres always people around. but growing is simple as long as you keep it discreet. good luck!

Thanks for the luck, I'm sure it'll come in handy to have a little extra of that.

The area i'm in isn't heavily populated or anything; it's just populated, and treed areas that don't get hikers, farmers, or other prying eyes are at a premium... unless i have an ATV/helicopter/want to drive a few hours.

But I managed to find an area that has enough bush, and I can actually drive into it with the vehicle, and get off the main track, so when I get out of the car and pull all my supplies out I don't have to worry about getting spotted.

The road itself to get in there is in pretty heavy disrepair; half washed out. I don't think i'll drive as far on it next time we go out. (Scraped the frame off a few rocks a couple times.)

I'm pretty stoked to have them out there now. And i hope that they'll be in good condition next time I have a chance to check on em.

that could work out. Sounds interesting.

I'l post pics when i can.

lol u don't even need google earth. Just go to maps.google.com I turned the satellite image on, and used a road overlay to find where I could actually drive up to a good grow spot.

just great, I should have waited till next weekend. Frost warning tonight and there is nothing i can do about it.

The official warning is:

Temperatures are expected to drop to between zero and minus 3 by
daybreak giving widespread frost.

My crop is by water, so i'm crossing my fingers that that will save them.

They should be alright, They say its goin to get cold tonight, but doubt it will drop below 10c. Good you found a spot to grow with water, cause there was a few dry spells last yr.

Well, it did frost, my dad said that the roof of the car had a layer on it in the morning around 5 when he went for work.

Today it was up in the 20's (70's F), so that'll be the last frost.

If the frost did hit them. at least one of the plants had to survive

Well i checked in on the plants today (a week later), and they look like shit.

It looks like the frost fucked them pretty good, all of the fan leaves were done. But I managed to find three of the plants that had new growth along the stem, so it looks like they might make a come back.

I guess all I can do now is check them next week and hopefully they're still going.

**Week update***

Well I guess I was a little bit optimistic when I said that three survived; the third plant was the largest plant, and i thought it might make it, but it was dried write to almost nothing this week.

So that means that two survived. My hope is that they are both female, and in my opinion they probably are, because they were two of the slower growers at the beginning, and males are often the fastest growing plants.

Anyways, these two are now 2 or three internode 'seedlings' again. One of them has quite a bit of dead plant material on it, but the dead stuff is already completely dried up and shriveled so there wasn't anything to worry about.

Anyways, I'll get a camera soon, but after a few weeks they've settled into the soil, and the one is about quite a bit stretched but strong. And the other is only a foot tall. Both are doing quite well, just pretty naturally (although I did add a bit of ferts one day, but it rained the next day; so I dunno how much that did).

Anyways I plan on getting a camera this weekend, but I don't know if I will be out there for another two weeks at least.

Right now I still couldn't see the sex of the plants. But they haven't really started filling out yet. July 22nd is when the days are short enough around here, so I hope they get a bit more growth in the next 18 days because it's july 4.

Although I guess so far their small size has been their best camouflage. So I'm not even worried about a small harvest; Although I wouldn't mind being able to take a clone.

Well here's the pics.

They've started to flower now, and they are both females.

I was actually kind of hoping for a male and a female so that I could get more seeds; this years harvest isn't going to be that great quantity wise, but quality wise it should be grade AAA; and now that I know that the soil is good, and I don't have to water next year I'll plant a few more in the area and hopefully pull a couple lb or so.

Next year I may try planting a little later though. People have told me that they get the best results in this area if they veg 2 - 3 months then throw the plants into flower for 2 - 3 weeks before taking them outside around June 20th. So that's what I'll try next year.
