Having trouble with bugs. My plants have been in the ground for about a month. Have used Shultz indoor and outdoor spray but they keep eating at the leaves i dont know what type instect are eating at them. They are leaving holes in the big fan leaves.

Has anyone tried Bayer products? I need something that doesnt wash off when it rains. Have thought about using bayer tree and shrub mix and pour at the roots.
Any ideas?

Try Neem Oil before you bust out the chemicals. You can find it at Lowe's, Home Depot, Wally World.

Put it in a spray bottle and spray the leaves, stem down with it. Get the bottoms of the leaves(very important).

You can also add a small amount to your watering once every two weeks, as an uptake for the roots. It will improve the overall health of the plant, and pretreat your soil for the molds and mites to come.

Neem oil is a vegging plants best friend. But I would get the stuff thats pure, if you can. Most Hydro stores carry it as well.

Yeah if you got the money I recommend a 16oz bottle of Einstein Oil, the hydro stores sell it. Be around $40. It's neem oil with something else in it to stop bugs from re-producing. Works pretty good outside. 16oz will go a lot faster outdoors than indoors obviously. You can get a 4oz bottle too if you wanna try it first. But its like $20, so 16oz is the way to go money wise.

thanks everyone for the help... going to lowes now to find neem oil. later on going to purchase from hydro shop. im afraid if i wait to long my plants will be destroyed...
