Sorry, Another is it too late ?
So I had a major delay getting my seeds (purple widow). They are germinating now and I am estimating the temp will vary from high 80's to high 70's with on overnight low of mid 50's for the 1st couple of weeks after planted in ground. However, where I live, we tend to jump into summer pretty quick with daytime highs in the 90's and sometimes creeping close to 100 with virtually no rain or humidity.
Also, the only location I can plant them and be able to check and water as needed gets a few hours of morning sun, then mostly shade and filtered sun in the heat of day and a few hours of sun at the end of the day. We are already in 12/12 and generally have long days thru the summer. Thanks in advance for any comments/advice. |

i dont see how you have the 12/12 ratio right now but they'll be fine as long as you water em when they get dry. the temps are kinda high but maybe your strain will like it. what are your temps like right now cause mine are already in pots ouside.

Right now we have a mini heat wave rolling thru with highs in the mid 90's, but by mon the extended forecast calls for low 80's to upper 70's.
As far as the 12/12 thing - I am new to growing and from the reading I've done on this site as well as others, 12/12 refers to 12 hours light and 12 hours dark, right? It's not getting dark until around 8pm, and the sun is rising at around 6-7am, so I am just estimating 12/12, but yeah, not exactly there. |

that is what 12/12 means but you wont have to worry about it outside cause nature takes care of it. those are good temps so get em outside and leave em they'll be fine. and unless your in alaska or somethin with a really weird natural light cycle the 12/12 thing will be fine like i said before. when they are first in the pots before they start coming out of the soil make sure to keep the soil moist, what i do is put a freezer bag over the top of my pots. it keeps the moisture in and keeps them from getting overwatered if it rains. take the bags off when they sprout though so the leaves can get the light and if it is supposed to rain a lot i would just put the bags back on.
