Going solo is the only option. Have you fed it yet? Looks like it is time for a light feeding if you have not already. Eventually you will want to put it into larger container, and when you do fill with soil 1/4 inch to the top. Your Basel is seeding, I would take cuttings of that for practice in the future. Proven clones will eliminate sexing questions.

about the feeding...i did 3 layers of soil and the mulch i used was kinda sour so yeah thats what im thinkin and i threw in some fert when i transplanted it into that pot plus all the bugs arent helpin. and just a lil bit ago i transplanted it into a 5 gallon by it self so we should be goood.

just got back from checkin the babies and the hermie is no more. i think youll know which one it is. the other pics is the 2nd of 4....well 3 now. not much to say about that one its doin ok....for now.

as you can tell this one is in the ground and getting about 7 hrs light....im gonna say its around a foot and a half tall.

and heres the dead hermie, this was the more healthier one outta the two. it struck 100 degrees here las week, i guessin it didnt make it through that, the dirt was like dust. i really had to time to get to it and give it aqua so yeah aint that worried

but yeah hit me up with some thoughts and criticism. and sorry these pics are bad quality, camera phone in the dark with a flash light hah.

stay blazed

The 16th....pics

well its still a long way from the end my friends cross ya fingers for everyone......

anyways, the one in the ground is bare on one side, im guessin that its only gettin about 9 hrs of light other than that its doin good. the one in the 5gal i transplanted it about 4 dayss ago and its lookin like it should...i think. but heres the pics. AND I GOT A QUESTION. does flashin lights on the plants durin the night mess the with the light cycle.....help it turn hermie???

and i believe i have vermin problems......i found a hole about 3" deep with the dirt pushed back.....ADVISE PLZ.

i think the sour mulch in the 5gal isnt helpin anything with this one.
im gonna start ferting soon.
thanks everybody, later

if theres problems with animals go to the dollar store and buy some moth balls, then scatter them around the plant. Also next time you get a hair cut, give the lady a 5$ tip and ask her if you can take a bag of hair because deer are eating your bosses garden and you are a care-taker. Scatter the hair around the plants as well. You should be good. Plants look good, whats in the soil, and what you using for ferts?

yeah i usually piss around everything everytime i see them and the hair shit works cause iv done it, i still dont know what the hell dug holes in my site. but about the soil....i put the dirt through a strainer and got all the big stuff out and its Fox Farms Ocean Forest and some reggie potting soil. when i transplanted that plant into the 5gal i added some more soil and a lil bit of mulch which i hope i dont regret doin....all together now iv got 2 plants and another one on the way. im usin Miracle Grow Plant Food Spikes(6-12-6) in the 5gal. and for the one in the ground im usin Shultz(10-15-10) Plant Food.

the one i just planted yesterday im gonna be using Neptunes Harvest: Fish & Seaweed(2-3-1)....on down the road.

im just experimenting this year.

Stop using the sour mulch. The sour smell is a sign that the wrong bacteria are present causing more bad then good, and even worse as attract more vermen racoons and skunks in particular. Be careful with the organic ferts if you already have problems with wildlife. I would apply a generous amounts in test spots at least 20 feet from your plot and come back in a few days to see if they have been dug up as well. Any animals that are attracted to the smell will tear up the spot with heaviest concentrations first then lose interest after they get used to the smell. Good luck.
