anyone grown in the everglades?

has anyone ever grown out in the enormous nothingness in southern FL? it seems like it would be primo for say a bunch of scattered plots of 6 or so plants...

i've never seen any law enforcement back there, especially in some areas, and the little tree groves look very conducive to hiding some plants.
plus, they wouldn't have to be watered often

anyone done this???

...i live on the opposite side of the country, but that sounds like a great idea as long as you have a safe means of transportation.

Don't be mistaken. There are most definately law enforcement officers all over the Everglades.

There are lots of prime spots (out of the way, few if any people pass by, buggy, sunny, etc..) out there. I've never personally met anyone who has done so but there has to be many who do.

I've seen police back there from time to time, but a lot more park rangers than anything else.

There are DEFINITELY a lot of places that would be great spots, I don't know what the soil pH is in the swamp though, that would be something to look into. I'm talking to one of my friends today who knows the area real well, from Florida city to the tip, so we'll see how it goes.

park rangers may not be cops, but they still carry a hand gun and hand cuffs. i still think you should go for it man. everyone who is driving a boat back in the everglades is pretty much just drivin around, so you can just say you're exploreing.

National Park Rangers can still arrest you and that's all that matters. As long as you go out of your way you should be fine.

There's thousands of square miles of untouched beauty. Finding a spot should be fine. I've been back there many a time and thought the same thing.
