Water Problem Outdoors

My house is right behind a big forest. I have several plants in there and planning many more. But im having a problem with water since there is no water around besides in my house. So i have to bring water from my house to the site. It starting to be too much work. Is there any good ideas on a drip system or somthing similiar just so i dont have to carry as much water as im doing now. Any ideas or comments would be helpful

It depends on the area your growing in realy. If your growing area has good quality soil that retains water well you shouldnt have to water it very often.

any drip systems could draw attention to your plants and youd want to keep it as low key as possible, so I wouldnt recomend that for the woods. I grow outdoors in a greenhouse and I made a little drip system using a hose with small holes cut in it. A timer controls the water flow so that they are watered once a day. That may even be a bit too much for my plants but Its convieniant for me.

Just keep an eye on the soil. If it gets very dry you can water it. Otherwise it shouldnt be a huge worry.

Also other forums suggest that when your watering source is from your house its a good idea to let it stay out for 20-30 hours. Idk why that is but it couldnt do any harm to try.

You could try digging a hole and lining it with plastic to catch rain water...just make sure to cover it with something that will camoflague it and also let water fall through.

There's no river/stream anywhere in the forest?

You look more suspicious with a bag.
It's heavier to carry the water to your site rather than have it somewhere close.

I don't understand why people don't plant closer to a water source.

I've got a nice river 100 yards from my spot.

if the spot is not far from your house, you can bury a large rumbermaid bin ane fill it full of water, if u dont want to transport the water to fill it up (i assume your eldery or dissabled) that you could have tarp set up to collect rain water and fill the rubbermaid bin, if u dont want to leave the tarp out u can just run out when you see or hear of rain and then stash it afterwerds. put thebin close to the plant and run a short underground hose to a dripper.

I think that for the most part, people do that so that any chlorine in the tap water will evaporate. I do it if i ever have to water my plants from the tap, I'm not sure if it works (probably does) but like you said there couldn't be any harm to it.

Well no there is no stream or rivers in this forest. What i do now is i carry to duffle bags with 4 gallon jugs in each bag. But this is getting be paranoid because i do have a lot of neiboors.. But i dont vist my plants inless their all not home and noone ever goes out in the wood or i haavnt seenb anyone eles.

I have 25 plants and visting to plant 50 more clones. I was thinking about bringing a 65 gallon water tank used for deatailing cars and buring it in the ground. Then run a hose through where the plants are and poke small holes in it. The thing is i dont know how i would set up a timer on in somhow??? ANy sugestions??

Thanks for all the input guys i appresciate your time

Battery operated timer is all I've got.

How are you going to fill the 65 gallon tank?

lol if u can manage to get a 65 gallon water tank out to your plants at 2 in the morning without anyone noticing then it shouldnt be a problem just watering them at 2 in the morning. Thatll save you a lot of trouble.

also I liked that idea a lot^^

im moving all my sprouts out of my greenhouse into an abandoned wooded area behind my house in a few days and I think I might try something similar to that.
