tranfering plant from cup to pot?

Hey, today I finally found a pot for my plant, which is growing fast and has outgrown a paper cup I planted it in. Tommaro morning is when I have a chance to transfer the plant before school. (Im 18)

My plan is to just get some scissors and pretty much cut the cup off the soil, and hopefully the soil won't fall apart, and then plant it in the pot soil.

Does this sound like an OK plan? I really don't want to screw up my plant cause its doing so good. Tell me if you think there's anything important to be aware of when transferring a plant.

Thx GC.

sounds good to me. Id figure that if u watered it the night before it would help keep the soil togther after you remove the cup. just make surerro the soil ur putting it in is soft and no compact. maybe eve give ur new soil a water so its nice and ready. good luck bro.

Gently use a box cutter to score the cup so that it cuts apart easier. I had to do this last night for my clones and the plant was a bitch to get gently out of that cup.

Wait till the soil is dry and it will pop right out. Put it in a pot, cover it with soil and water the hell out of it.

i did it with three plants the other day

All I did was cut down the side and cut the circumference of the bot. of the cup and then like pushed it out of the cup into the soil.
