What happens if police get involved...

I was wondering, since i just dug up my 9-plant plot in the woods today, what would happen if someone found them and reported them to the police. Would they come out and chop and burn and forget about them, or would they look around for shoeprints/soil bags/water buckets and stuff that could be evidence, then try and make an arrest?

assuming this is a small plot, not a 100+plant grow.

Thanks for all replies, i hate paranoia.

Really depends where you live and where they were found. If they found them growing in like some back woods area with no one living around they would probably just kill the plants. Now if they found them growing on your property they would probably question/persecute you.

my best advice would be to do all "garden work" with the cover of night, preferibly with your face covered...

thats how i get it done

AND,leave nothing behind which could be found with your fingerprints on it.

Pref. the carry in carry out philosophy applies to us and campers alike, but if you must leave things behind.....Bury them at least in a plastic bag and retrieve it at a later time....at LEAST.

Someone reported my outdoor plants, the cops came cut em down, and that was the end of it, no investigation or nothing.

Rule number 1: Never grow at your house or a relatives house.
Rule number 2: Always wear gloves so you don't leave fingerprints.
Rule number 3: Never leave any of your materials behind.
Rule number 4: Before going to your spot, make sure no additional cars
or anything suspicious is there from the last time you went.

If you follow those, even if your plants are found, the cops will have very little
to work with and will probably just drop the search.

Small grow = Very little chance of prosecution

Don't be stupid by leaving evidence that could lead them to you at the grow site, though.

Be careful, dudes.

I've had cops actually pass up my plants in my backyard while walking out there.. They weren't specifically looking for anything, but still..

I think alot has to do with how much they find, and where you live.Where I'm at it is a big deal so I've had friends get popped different ways, one was with a hidden video camera, and another was one of those hidden trail/game cameras. Now I always wear a mask going into my patches. As the others have said- don't leave evidence! As soon as you see something is wrong vacate the area.It is pretty scary for a few days when you go in and see your shit is gone. You never know if it was 5-0 or just some punk looking for free weed.
