Light cycles before transferring outside?

Hello everyone,
I will be doing an outdoor crop this summer and have already started some plants inside. Just curoius on the best way to set my light cycle so my plants will not freak out when I move them ouside. I live in Minnesota so I want them outside by the end of May. They are about a week old now and I've been leaving lights on 24 hours a day. How and when should I begin getting them ready to go outside? Thanks.
