direct sunlight?

Hey, I have 2 plants in cups right now, im planning to move them to bigger pots soon. I havn't thought a good place to keep them yet, exept i think a good spot would be right in the corner of my yard. The problem is there are fences around my yard, so im afraid if i put it next to a fence, it would only get sunlight like half the day. Does a plant need direct sunlight, or will it grow fine if its just not in a dark place, one that is light, but no direct sunlight? Thx

When a Cannabis plant is young it shouldn't be put in direct sunlight at all. Direct sunlight will dry dirt in less than 5 minutes. I would say give them a little more direct sunlight everyday, starting when their roots have reached a depth in the dirt where it wont be as dry. The minimum direct sunlight I'm not sure about, but I do know that most other plants I grow outside need at least 6 hours of it per day.

Just my opinion dude.

Good Luck

Agreed. young plants do well in open shade while in cups. after they've gotten a few leaves and have been up-potted 6 hrs. of direct sun will be plenty to grow big ol' bushes.
