I found a really really good place today but there is an industrial lot about 300 yard to either side. Is there any way to tell if they are going to start cutting trees down and shit as far back in the brush where my burried plants will be?

Yeah, workers will usually mark, and map out the territory they will be knocking down. Walk the perimeter and see if they've been there. They probably work differently, but around here, whenever they knock down trees and flatten foundation, they put these little sticks into the ground with an orange fabric tied around it to mark perimeter.

And yea I found a stick in the ground like you said but the fabric is pink.

this is a common marker, but if it looks aged it could be just for property lines, that stake will generaly be at the corner of a lot,. if you dont see a bunch of tree's spray paitned, or taped with pink/ornge/red plastic then you should be good.

Cause I find it kinda odd that they wouldn't just take the lot in the middle too.

no they are stright in front and to the left of the holes I dug today. They dont look too old and there are numbers on the stick. No spray paint. The other day guys were marking property next door and the fabric is the same pink. There is no recent garbage there either just real old beer cans with the old top.
