grow spot :/

alright well iv found a very nice spot for this years grow. one or two issues and questions.
i bought some Miracle Grow Organic and went lookin, first spot wasnt a good idea at all. second spot was promising. so i started digging and ended up lookin at loose red clayish soil. so i dug a decent hole and put the Organic in the hole. thats the part im sketchy about. and theres a runnin stream pretty much right by it but its at the bottom of a 3 or 4 foot bank (
give or take). and animal tracks all around. i plan on throwin some hair around the area. then i went walkin down the stream lookin around. and found a nice sand patch. i can see where the water has risen from the last 4 or 5 inches of rain we've had, no where close. i was wonderin if i could throw some Organic in the sand and plant there too? and one more thing. i had a big pile of mulch sittin in my backyard for about a year or two now and its got grass growin out of it and what not. i turned it over today and it seemed to look and feel like some pretty good soil for plantin, but had roots and stuff in it. could i use it? little advise or criticism would be nice.

well i would not grow in the sand...since theres a chance it will get flooded. if it its not underwater or the possibility of it being under water then i would grow there. as for the mulch, it sounds good, but im not an expert on composting.

As long as you are confident thats it's not some flood plain it should be ok. Maybe not the best area since even though it's not flooded, the soil could stay wet for quite some time which isn't the best for roots. The mulch could be good with some nutrients, just make sure you don't add it all in while the plant is young. You have no idea about the composition of nutrients in there, but as long as you don't overload your plant as a seedling I would think it would be ok. I think it would be ok as far as other stuff growing in it. Just pull anything out if you see it sprouting up. That way they can't establish much of a root system to interfere with your precious MJ roots.
