piss bucket

Ok... I am contemplating keeping small pots or buckets of piss (mine, friend's, human piss in general) near my plants that will be outdoors. Thus, to help keep off deer and what not. I figured if there was a constant smell of human urine around... would it help? Or should I just buy some bear piss/ fox piss and use it around my plants? Even using human piss in a bottle and using that around my garden. All good ideas? Which would you do or would all benefit me in the end to keep animals out?

All comments/advice welcome.

or maybe soak twine/string in it then tie it around your perimeter?

I may be paranoid, but I wouldn't want to leave my bodily fluids around a location where illegal activities are going on. I would also not want to leave any litter lying around to draw attention that humans were around.

Finally, I'm not certain that pee-cans would be effective in scaring away the wildlife.

Has anyone used commercial animal repellents? http://www.liquidfence.com/deer-repellent.html

I used critter ritter and it seemed to work somewhat well althought a few small animals ended up chewing a few leaves off, but there was no major damage.

this might sound like it wont last for long but If you take a can of OFF deep woods and spray about 3 feet around the base of your stem animals will stay away for at least a couple of weeks even if their is rain. Also I take shaving cream and spray a border around the stem

The only down-side I see to that is that a chicken wire cage would stand out as an unnatural structure. Maybe you could weave weeds through the mesh to camouflage it but outdoors, less is more (IMO)

Just soak the ground 2 or 3 feet away from the plant in a circle.

Leaving buckets, pots and such means someone is caring for that plot, subjecting you to more observation and a possible bust if your plants are found.

Yea piss may keep them away for a little while but eventually they are curious and will come up to it anyway. Im also wondering what would work to keep animals away im really not worried about deer more about racoons and rabits those are my worries for when the plants are babies not quite a foot rabbits love to eat em. A note to people too growing outside don't use compost unless in bucket due to racoons will dig it up just to see whats in it. personal experience.............. And also if you do use chicken wire spray paint it green looks natural i have done it before and it worked, although i was young and dumb honestly i would never do it again.

like i said check out critter ritter and deer off, they have a chemical formula that includes smells that would scare animals and a pepper spray like compound that irritates thier fuzzy little noses and eyes when they stick their face near it.
