Florida Growers, Let me here you!

When are you florida growers starting your outdoor grows? Today is a beautiful day and I almost want to start them today but I am debating on whether there is going to be some more cold nights or not.

Anyone started yet?

Im around the Ft. Myers area. I put my little ones outside yesterday and they sprouted right up. I think I am going to bring them inside during the night though, this next week is suppose to get down into the low 50's high 40's during the night.

I hear ya guys. I grew last year in Florida and it was amazing. I usually grow indoor using hydroponics. I moved here and threw a couple 6" plants outside and they absolutely blew up. I am in day 2. I am excited!

I will post some pics later on. I don't really like to post on these sites anymore. I was an avid member of overgrow and we all see what happened there. Shit has me paranoid =/

Stayin inside. Too much trouble wit the fuzz to do a good outddor grow. I could find a decent place out in the Forest, but why bother driving when I can grow what I need in walking distance?

Mad props to you guys doin the outside grows. I'd be a nervous wreck every time I was going out to the grow!

My winter garden

Here's what I have in the yard right now.

And to the guy who is nervous about growing outside, Yeah, I've been scared shitless a couple of times. Once I chopped and buried a mature plant, a plant 6 wks into flower and another that had just started flowering. Sure screwed up my plan for a perpetual harvest.

Well I am not really all that nervous because a few plants really isn't that big of a deal. I am more worried about someone ripping them up.

A few years ago I was growing in an outside shed. I had about 50 plants started and ended up with about 25 females. I spent a good amount of money getting this grow together. I had 3 1000hps lights and 2 1000 watt MH lights for veg. My ladies were in week 3 of flowering. About 2am one night for some reason I got this really bad feeling and decided to go check them out (the ladies were about 30 mins away) and sure enough someone had broken into the shed and ripped my hydro plants up (root, netpot and all) the rest of the plants were broken. I had over $5,000 in equipment and luckily they didn't take any of that.

I know it wasn't the person that was allowing me to grow in the shed because he use to be a big time trafficker and was in his mid 50's. I am guess that someone(neighbor) could smell them and decided they would like them. That is basically the same reason I am scared to grow here. I live so far out in the country that I am not really worried about the police, but I do have a neighbor next door with 2 kids, and they seem like straight edge type people. I know once my babies get close to flowering that they're gonna rink and I don't want my neighbor calling the cops because he smells marijuana.

I think my only choice is to grow them inside untill they're a few weeks old and then move them down the road behind an abandoned house. The area I live in was being built up and I guess the contractors or companies building ran out of money because there are alot of houses that have the frames but haven't been touched in 4+ years.

I live in the perfect area. I have a canal right behind my house with a drop off to the canal that gets 100% sunlight the entire day, it's just if the person next door were to walk out to their dock on the canal, there is a good chance they could see the plants, and I don't want that to happen. No one lives to the right of me, but there is a house, its just not vacant.

Decisions decisions.

I'm thinkin about doing a couple of clones in a trashcan scrog outside. I live in the city on a 1/3 acre plot. I have a big privacy fence and a bunch of big landscping plants all along the back fence. I'm thinking of hiding the trash can in and behind the landscaping just to see how they grow outside. I live in Central Florida so I want to wait until the last of the cold weather at night is done before I start (maybe the end of this month). What is the absolute minimum temp that MJ can tolerate outside at night without damage or growth slowing down? They would have to stay outside and we always have the chance for the cold snap in early March.

Thanks!

Sound like a good situation to do a stealth trashcan scrog. You could even use the house frames and slabs to grow on, and that way have a couple of different location so losing one wouldn't hurt as much!
