Question about location

I've figured out a spot that would be good to grow around 3-4 plants. However, I'm not sure if the spot gets enough sunlight to grow. There's a little bush and a tree in the vicinity of the spot...does this mean there is enough light to possibly grow a few plants? All help is appreciated .

Or are they part of what keeps it hidden?

if other plants are able to live there efficiently with the amount of sunlight they're getting, you should be fine.

hmm, yeah, this reminds me, its sloooowly getting warmer (still cold tho) so i went out to look at my grow spot, and some areas around it...basically i noticed what the guy above said, plus, its good to just look up! look straight up, if you see branches, especially from more than 1 tree, during the summer its a safe bet to say theres gona be leaf blockage. also, its good to note that when yhoure touring your spot and seeing if anyone else can see it (important!) from the road or whatever, a good rule of thumb is if its blocked sufficiently during these cold months (no leaf cover), during the summer youll DEFinitely be good to go. duno, im blazed, and super excited for this seasons grow, im such an outdoorsy motherfucker, i got my wooden pallet and about 15 pots already out there, on the hunt for more pots, and dirt when it gets warm! and ive got 50 primo seeds in a jacket pocket! WHOOO

yeah i'll have to check out the branches and stuff. this saturday i think i'll go to the spot at a round noon and see what the sun's like. i picked it because of its privacy.

this will be my first grow btw. this is kind of changing topics but this is my plan:

germinate four seeds
let them grow a little in jiffy pots
plant the jiffy pots in a good soil mix (pH of 6.5)
water every couple of days or when needed

i hope it goes alright...

Good luck on this season's grow. In most places, the sun is not really directly overhead, rather following and arc from east to west somewhere between the southern horizon and directly overhead. So a good Southern exposure will ensure enough direct light for a great grow. Also, if you have a choice, try to get the morning sun as opposed to the setting sun.

Ideal orientation will be toward the east, south east.
