Possible outdoor scenario

Well, i live in a townhouse at college, but my backyard is something very interesting. About 20 feet behind me, is a farm. I am almost positive it is purely corn. I have a good 20+ seeds of good pot that i have collected, so my question is, if i plant them this spring in his crop, will it grow? I've never seen him back there checking anything and security isn't really the main problem, its wondering if it will even grow. We also have some wooded area that is secluded and has sunlight openings. Wondering if an ourdoor grow would be even possible, im thinking no... and i live in southern Michigan.

my little brother works on a farm and they have corn field and while they were picking this year they found 3 ready to harvest plants and the farmer told them to leave them alone because the person growing them is a farmer too (of a different sort...). Most farmers im guessing if they found they would probably just knock it over, but just make sure you harvest them before the farmers get to them to harvest there crop. ive seen/heard of many people growing in corn fields and being successful. make sure its just deep into the corn field, not just at the end because im sure local kids go in the cornfields.

Also, the field is for animal feed corn. It's not really a cash crop, i've never seen him out there doing any sort of work whatsoever, where i live is where his big land used to be until he sold it, if that helps any Keep postin

If you had control of the cultivation of the corn, that would be the best place to grow, but since you don't know when the farmer is going to run a harrow down the rows, or spray or anything else, I'd say the wooded areas would be safer in the long run.

I'd suggest setting out seedlings rather than to sow your seed directly outside. Start them in party cups that have holes cut out for drainage and seed starting mix available in any garden center. Start the seeds about a month (3-4 weeks) before you plan on setting out the plants. They should grow fine on a nice sunny window ledge if you don't have a small grow chamber.
