Damn, I didn't realize the sun rose in the west in hell.
In the northern hemisphere, the sun rises in the east and gains height (azimuth?) from south to north depending on season. At the winter solstice, the sun is as far South as it will go, and the summer solstice, it will be as far north. Hence a southern exposure (in the norther hemisphere) will provide the most sunshine throughout the year. Definitely should try to get the morning to noon sun if possible.

As stated, the morning sun is always much stronger then the setting sun, so try to find a spot that gets nice exposure and morning sun, you should be fine.
