Questions To stupid to figure out grow journals

K i'm just gonna start off by saying i live in Northern Idaho around Coeurdalane area its cold. I'm gonna plant a couple plants out in the woods i got the main idea going but i'm just curious wether or not to start inside in some cups under some floros then transplant a lil later in spring. I'm just worried about a late freeze and killing them and i dont really want to grow inside already been caught and they were destroyed I'm 21 but live iwth roommates that don't care if i smoke but dont want me to grow. its easy to get to woods and don't deal with mates.

I can't decide wether to dig my holes throw soil mix in holes or try rubbermade buckets burried and planting so they don't get to regular soil. Idaho's soil is rocky but good is that gonna be a prob if roots get into regular soil?

sorry i'm a moron just looking for some help.

See if your roommates are cool with you growing indoors just for a while until you can move them outdoors. It'd probably be best I suppose with the late frost issues. I'd personally dig a hole and add your own soil mix to it; screw the buckets. They restrict growth and if it's outdoors, I say go big or go home. There's no real point in preventing the maximum potential of the plant with a bucket. Putting a bucket in the hole really only helps if you need to keep the size down, you need to move your plant, or to keep moisture in if it doesn't rain a lot.

start them inside if u can, the north idaho area can have early and late frosts at all elevations. I would say look for a south facing site to plant in. keep ur eye on periods with no precepitation . if u can somehow rig up a drip line or some other source of on site water u can grow some huge plants. north idaho gets long hours of intense sunlight. A strain with that flowers early qwill do u well. pm me if u have any questions
