Beginning a grow this season

I'm trying to iron out the wrinkles in my plan here so any help would be greatly appreciated. I have the location, I have the equipment, and I need the best medium I can get for starting some babies. I plan on germinating a bunch of seeds and putting them in a tray but I don't know what soil type would be ideal. So, if you could share some experience or point me to a page about it, it's worth a lot of budz to me.

Look into the grow journals so that should help a lil. and most people will tell you organic.

I use seed starting mix from my home supply garden center. I'm not sprouting more than 4-5 seeds at any time since I mainly propagate from cuttings. I do start a lot of tomato and pepper seeds though and I get good germination and growth.

It comes in a small (2 lb?) bag. Regular potting soil run through a strainer is good too, but it's more work.

Good luck
