so the spot behind my house which im considering (well, its pretty much a done deal, but i have ONE big reservation-read on..) is a favorite spot for some deer and shit. like, a good amount of deer. its a regular thing to see 3-4 deer on the edge of the bamboo forest (that hides my grow spot) just staring at my house. basically, is this a no go? is there any deer repellent strong enough to keep deer off my plants all summer? even if the plants are in a spot they usually chill near/run through? any recomendations on deer repellents? thanksssss and keep on

ps. very excited for this grow season, if you cant tell it will be my first, gonna be sweeeeeeeeet

Not sure man, but I deer can fuck up your shit. Strongest repellant I can think of would be a 30-06.

EDIT:
Just in case you didn't know a 30-06 is a rifle, and yes it was just a joke.

Just build a make-do fence around your plants. Doesn't have to be anything special just some chicken wire or some shit like that... I also heard that spreading human hair around it repels them.

I don't know if it is an urban legend or not, but a guy I know who's been growing out in the everglades for a while says he uses lion pee as a repellent. Of course unless you work in a zoo or animal park, that could be a problem to get. (note, he works @ a wild animal park so that adds a little weight to his claim.)

use human hair, dog hair, and i guess you could try cat hair (ever done that before but if lion piss works then try it). put it in some cheese cloth and make balls of it and just hang it all around the grow spot. Then, for added fun, piss all around you plants (but not ON you plants becuase the extra nitrogen can mess with out plants). This will have to be repeated after every rain but this worked VERY well for me. I had a ton of deer all over my spot this last year.

Human hair and even just leave a few shirts out there that smell pretty sweaty. And as far as the 30-06 HAHA great dear repellant only problem is it can bring in people wondering who the fuck is shooting out in the woods. I'd say get a .22 with a plastic bottle tapped to end One the 22 is quiet but with the bottle tapped over barrel its even quieter and just aim for the head. fences unless at least 6 feet tall will not do a damn thing.

You can go to a outdoor supply store and shop around. They should carry some repellents. Bear piss and other stuff. Also human piss should scare them off but You'd have to reapply your repellants every time it rained just about. There's also stuff you can spray on your plants that's supposed to taste bad to animals when they take a nibble. Check at some home/garden centers for that.

I pee'd in bottles for a few days, left them in the sun... added some dog hair when i put it around plants. No deer for me.

just set up some 30 pound test fishing line around your plant... hard to see and will stop a deer

Text Signatures: 4 lines normal size OR 8 lines small size and up to 90 chars per line. Font sizes above 2 are not allowed. For images in signatures: 1 image up to 300 pixels wide, 125 pixels tall and 20k in size.
