Can I plant my herb in February in San Diego?

I live in San Diego. If I were to plant my herb in February, how much would it affect the plant? I believe the weather here is great for growing bud, its nice and sunny and winters dont get harsh at all. We just get some rain. Is it really necessary to plant it in March or April? Im planning on planting an Afghan, anyone have any experience growing this? Im planning on using Miracle Gro soil as well.

Things you need to know are when the last frost is for SD and what the light cycle is in February in your area. I'd only do it if there is at least 12 hours of light during the day so that the plants have ample light and don't get stressed from thinking its time to flower. You might want to wait til mid March or April to get started just for those reasons.

There's a movie called In Pot We Trust and there's a guy on the D.E.A. taskforce in San Diego who was born with some wierd condition where he can actually detect very slight differences in shades of green. Where some people could see six shades, he could see 17 or some crazy number like that... So anyways, this guy just rides around in helicopters during the spring, spotting pot plants amid fields and fields of a shitload of different kinds of vegetation.

I dont know if I really believe his amazing color-detection skills... and I'm not trying to say that he's gonna getcha either, hahaha. It just reminded me of that guy when I read that you were gonna grow in SD.

Anywho.. good luck!! take some pics so we can check out your grow!!

Doesnt mj give off more heat than other plants or something? So they could just use thermal imaging which is probably more reliable than some dude that sees lots of colors...

And probably just a few plants wont be spotted, it would probably take a good size crop to spot.

Oh and OP, i have not growing skills at all, so sorry i cant help.
