first grow, need all the suggestions i can get

ok so i orderd some purple power seed from seedboutique and i need some help.

so i found my spot, it gets the need amount of sunlight.
im going to start my grow the last week of march.
im gunna start my grow in some party cups then transfer them into a whole about a foot and a half deep mixed with regular dirt and some soil ill buy from wal mart. any kinda soil i should buy? cant be alot of money though. my friend said i should put trashbags in the hole. to help hold moisture. should i?
then when should i get them ferts? and how often should i water them, there not by any water source just in a field and it rains about once a week sometimes two weeks.
then what should of ferts should i give them? i have some more questions but there for harvesting and curing i can serch for.

you could make a raincatcher out of a tarp? And ya putting black trash bags in the holes would be good. Keeps the bugs out and the water thing. Just from reasearch the consitancy of the soil is a very important aspect of choosing soil, so be sure to pick up a few bags of pearlite.

You only need bags in the hole if you can't water it often. Putting bags in can cause over-watering, so I wouldn't recommend unless you can only water it every couple days.

i was told that if its in the dirt and not a pot i shouldnt need to water it
