Unnattended Grow, What Can I Expect?

This summer I plan on planting several plants in various places, and just leaving them be until I come to harvest them. I could visit them a few times to water them if it doesn't rain for a week or so, but I don't have the time to visit them every day or even every week.

What can I expect? Will the plants just yield slightly less, or will they not survive at all? Or am I just worrying over nothing, and they will be fine?

I live in mid-western Wisconsin, not ideal for growing but what can you do. I will make sure they are in a place with lots of sunlight, and where it is very unlikely anyone would find them.

I was thinkin' about doing the same thing... I'm just scared that it's not going to rain that much during spring/summer here in Texas.

I did this last year and had varying results. Its all a matter of location and luck. I had plants that gave me an 1/8 and some that gave me 2 ounces. Now I did get mine out a little late but the dry summer is what hurt me. I am going to try a small swamp next year. I have read that is your best option for an unattended grow. You just risk the possibility of drowning them

Unless you have some pretty damned good conditions, I would not expect anything. It is my experience that your plants need care and nurturing...and water at least every 3 days during hot spells.

Well I just read in another thread something about burying a milk jug filled with water with two or three tiny holes poked in them, they say you only have to refill them every two weeks.

Cool hey bro.

im kinda new to the site and dont know much about the wisconsin area... but i live in florida and i have had some pretty sucessful grows in the past... mj plants need water to survive.. and if you dont think you can water them for a week at a time.. id say forget it. but i dont know if this applies to the northern u.s... but here in florida we have a wild weed plant, called poke weeds... if you could look up what they look like online and if they grow in your area (im not sure)... that would be the best place to plant. the poke weed plant requires about the same growing conditions of mj.. so if you can find one.. and plant it next to it.. it probably means that youre plant will survive, if the pokeweed is growing well there.

just some advice, and something to look into.
