smoking and usage

Hey everyone!

I am having a problem i had to harvest a couple of my plants a little early do to the wind snapping them so hey have finally finished drying. My problem is that they are drying to a really ugly brown colour. The leaves are staying a dark green but the buds are brown. The looked perfect while growing and i have been taking really good care of them. I picked them the day after the main stems snapped and they where about 2-3 weeks from harvest. i dry them hanging upside down and everything in a dark place. The person I got the clones from gave me a sample off his plants ( off the same mother plant ) and they where a really nice green colour. I have been looking everywhere to find ou why they are doing this but i cannot find out why. I dont think it has to do with picking them early because i had dried a plant that was ready and i did the same thing.

I think it might have somthing to do with the heat in the place where i am drying but i have no idea.

Any info would be GREATLY appreciated.
