What are the chances?

I have a ton of seeds of crappy weed that I bought and I just found them in the weed. So I saved those seeds, and I live right in front of a forest in Illinois and was planning on trying to grow some in the Spring.

The forest is usually vacant except for a few people who walk their dogs and a few kids who go in the back of it to smoke. The rest of the plants there are about 3-4 feet high throughout the summer.

What I was planning is to Germinate my seeds at home, grow them in some cups for a couple of days at home, and then transplant them into the forest.

What are the chances that my plant will survive? Are marijuana plants more prone to attack by insects than other plants? And how often do you think I should check up on them, like every week or every 3 days or what.

Also, what should I make sure when choosing a spot, beside that the trees shouldn't cover the sunlight?

I'm thinking of growing about 10 plants in 3-4 different spots.

And tips would be appreciated =)
