Wondering about the size of my buds...

Hey everyone in the growing section ,

So I've been growing a plant since early april. I'm growing it indoors, but from natural sunlight (because of which, wasn't entirely sure which forum to put this in). In it's current location it may only get about half of the days direct sunlight, but still seems to be doing well, and is healthy.

It's been budding for several weeks now (for the record, it is female), plenty of hairs and some crystals... but my only worry is, the buds aren't yet very big. I'm not expecting buds the size of my fist, but there's no individual buds that look like they'd even be a bowlful, certainly not more.

Being that it's my first plant so I don't know how things work out quite yet, I'm just wondering if there'll even be enough time left before the winter for it's buds to grow big enough to make the whole thing worthwhile... or could it be that I can keep growing it beyond when an outdoor plant wouldn't even live (I live in Michigan, gets pretty cold), because it's indoors?

are you putting her away for 12hrs in total darkness??
I have done this type of grow before and I would follow the sun putting my baby's in 3 different windows for 12 hrs and then to a dark closet for 12 hrs , I managed to get that nice big bud

sorry i don't know the answer to your question. i've got my first plant budding too and just have little nugs, so at least we're in it together...

I've just been leaving it by the window at night O.o I should mention though that I have recently been putting her outside in the morning and letting her stay outside 'til sunset to get some more direct sunlight. I'm just trying to avoid the colder days.

Bud viagra indeed man. But being in it together ftw :P I'm sure even if the buds remain tiny, it'll be nice to have some fairly good homegrown shit... it's just the rate they're growing at ATM doesn't quite match my expectations.

try putting her in darkness for 12hrs everyday (I mean total darkness)
and put her in what light you can druring the day!!doing this for a week you will see growthif thats the prob!! I think that might help
aslo if you can take a pic that will aslo help other people here tell you whats up!!

the sun is getting real low and there is just 12hrs of light right now(little under)
so she not getting the real light she needs

I have this one plant that's been budding for awhile, it was my first real cloning experiment and I tore the thing apart. I had this hydro Ice plant that was stinking real bad in my crawl space, I mean filling up the house. I didn't have any good odor control in place so I decided to try cloning and putting the clones outside. I cut off most of the lower branches and tried to clone them into rockwool, but I kept the rockwool too wet and they didn't die, but just didn't do well enough to keep. Then what was left of the top of the plant i cut at the main stalk and cloned it into a 3 gal grow bag full of soil. this was the only one i put in to pre-ferted soil and it's the only one that ever started showing new growth. i let it sit outside to bud for a little while and recently moved it into my grow room with the rest. it's all frosty already, but isn't growing much still. all the hairs are still white and plush though, so i assume it has alot more growth to go? we'll see.

anyway, i'll be interested to see how yours and mine turn out!

I was just looking at her, the hairs are actually starting to turn orange, if that's important at all...

ive been growing this summer and had a few run ins with the law and what not so ive been off the forum for a LONG time. regardless, if your growing an indica then in the last two weeks of flowering the buds swell up to a very nice size. of my VERY few plants left that werent found at all, they are indica and look a little sad (as far as bud size goes). this is to be expected though, just let nature do what it does best. if the hairs are turning red then id say expect to see some more growth in the next few weeks. hope this helps bro! and dont get caught....trust me it sucks.
