early harvest advice ...

please forgive my way of describing things I am still somewhat new to this homegrowing thing ...

my plant is 6 foot 2 or 4 inchs tall and 6 foot round a real bush . the buds are long but just starting to thicken and tricombs?( crystals on the leafs and buds )have been present for 3 weeks the hairs are full and thick but mostly still white with some just starting to show a brownish orange at the verry tips . some fan leaves have been turning yellow and falling off but just the smallest of them well inside the plant . it smells absolutely unbelievable ! ! and from the little sample I took 3 weeks ago works rather well but the taste was a little to be desired ( should have cured it better ) just air dried and still a little damp but smoked fine . my delima is there is a forcast of cold temps in the near future and bringing it in isnt an option ( too big and the wife hates the smell she isnt a smoker ) but cool about it . any tricks to getting it..... to progress faster ? keep it from getting killed by the cold , or processing because of early harvest ?? I will post pics soon she is a real monster and this is my verry first serious grow and I am quite surprised ...
