Begginer like questions

Okay I've done some research into growing but more from a indoor standpoint, but recently I was considering outdoor grows. With enough time before the next grow season to begin to figure out what the fucks up. So some question I didn't think I could get the answer to elsewhere.

I guess I'm doing a guerilla style grow cause I don't have a yard, but there are a lot of empty hills around here. So I found a potential grow spot and it is almost completely invisible from any acsees points, but I have no idea how much traffic it recieves. There is a small trail thru threre but all I saw was deer prints. How do I cheeck how sercure it is. I had seen these motion sensory cameras that hunter use take still picture. Would that be a good way to check?

Also I live between 40N and 45N latitude and between the 85W and 95W longitude. What do I need to know about the climate of the region and what popular strains do well in the area.

What type of soil do the prefer more sandy, clay filled, or peaty? If my region doesn't fit the bill should the be in pots.

What sort of security I can put in most importantly for animals coming to eat my babies. I still have maybe a week or two of planting time that if any one can suggest how to get a thick fill of plant that can keep out animals that would be amazing. I'm talking like an ivy or bush that is a very rapid grower that would be thick enough to keep out animals in a couple months.

DO I need to consider having to water them or about how much rainfall is needed to keep them happy.

That's about it thanks for your time hopefully there some people out there that can help me out.

I'd be wary about seeing alot of deer tracks. Aside from the fact that they like to eat plants (this can be combated though) come fall time people will be hunting those deer about the same time your plants are maturing. Deer hunters love fields and hills. I dunno. Just my 2 cents. Good luck.
