How to tell when to harvest.

Alright I'm seeing alot of when should I harvest threads on this forum lately and hears how.

Get a 60x-100x pocket microscope from radioshack for $10 and check out your tichomes. By taking a a small leaf or calyx. Then go by this chart to see when you want to harvest and what type of high you want by the color of your tichs.

Note: Sometimes you want to harvest the top and bottom at different times to let the bottom mature more.

Clear Trichome- Not enough potency yet. Harvesting now will decrease yeild.
Cloudy Trichome- Harvesting when "most" trichomes are cloudy or milky will give you a "up/heady/energetic/rush" high.
Amber Tichome- Harvesting when "most" trichomes are amber will give you a narcotic/couchlock high.
Half Amber/Half Cloudy- Harvesting when you have a 50/50 mix of amber and cloudy trichomes will give you a combination of head and body high.

newb question, my first grow.. but
ticromes are the crystals on the leaves correct?

yup. if you look with a scope they look like little dudes with heads.

and they change from clear to cloudy to amber.
