my plant is 3weeks into flowering and im starting to see some of the little white hairs are turning a redish brown on the ends not the whole thing just the ends. what does that mean. how many weeks does it normaly take to fully flower 6 to 10 weeks or 8 to 12 weeks?

indica strains can be 8-10 weeks
sativa can be 12 or more or less.

yeah old pistols will change colors and new white ones will grow.
