Jesus I have created a monster if you look at the first picture I have posted that shows the recliner in the pic . ever since I noticed the pre flowers / flowering pistils it has just taken off in size it is now 10 inchs above the top rail of the railing and got so bushy I had to remove the recliner and it now takes up almost the entire space between the grill and the outside railing . and the little plant is almost 2 foot high in a matter of 2 weeks damn whats going on !!!

They r outdoors and all roughly 5ft. 2 hav balls the other 3 pistils. They r too close together, I know, but They showed their sex kinda late. Should I just hack the males and if so can i do something with them? I know I have to do something quick! suggestions Please!

Definately cut your males as soon as you can. or else you'll have seeds. i promise its not worth growing your males, you can't even smoke them

tragity might have struck ... my wife saw that the dreaded japanese beetles were all over my prize female so she did what she thought was correct she grabbed the ortho rose and flower insect killer and gave the entire plant a good healthy spraying with it to ward off the japanese invaders . well this ortho rose & flower insecticide contains bifenthrin as an active ingredient . everything I have read on it since the happening has said it isnt absorbed by plant foliage but can be absorbed by plants thru the root system . and everything I have read says its pretty toxic although there have been no reported deaths from it since its introduction in 1985 . I have since flushed the foliage and soil WELL! . the plant isnt in bud as of yet so I feel a little better but can anyone shed any light on if the yeild will be ok to consume ? and give any recomendations on what to use to ward off the japanese invaders and where to get it ...

go to walmart and look for japanese beetle bags, these things are rested on a stand and within two weeks the whole bag will be filled with japanese beetles.

yeah and the bag is full of writhing wreching little beasties, it's kinda nasty, but makes you think how dumb they are.

just don't put the bag close
the goal is to deter the beetles

my mom and i noticed that the bags actually caused more beetles to show up in her garden

the bastards totally destroyed my pole beans, 1000's!!!! only saw an occasional beetle on mj...flicked ~5 off...mj was right in w/ beans and no problem...but man did they go to town on the beans...95% loss!!!...mj is fine though...cheers
