Just a few questions Growing on Balcony

This is pretty much my first grow. I am growing on my 20th floor balcony I get pretty good light all day.

I had two plants growing one came out male already and what I have is this one.

Any comments would be appreciated.



Any ideas on this one?

If my plant has a lack of light will it stop it from budding ?

Looking at that plant you have there, no one in their right mind would say "you dont have enough light." (your plant looks great) Anyway, what actually makes a plant begin to flower is not how much light it gets, but rather the amount of time it has light each day. So, if you want your plant to flower just start giving it 12hrs of light and 12 hrs of darkness each day. Then and only then will you either see pussy hairs or cannaballs.

Then why did my male plant come out already?

someone told me that the males come out first and the females last?

what are those nubs coming from the bottom of the stem?

the second picture ?

my first plant showed balls really early.

this one is really starting to smell at the top.

Are you going to up the root space to an aerated 5 gallon or would a monster plant be out of the question? Perhaps a garbage bag? What strain you got growing?

I cant have to big of a plant im probably going to have to tie it down or something.

No idea what strain got some seeds from my uncle in Quebec.

Notice I cut the top off to keep it from getting to high.

start LST right away.. tye the main stem down at the base and then tie the branches down and put it in the sun..

Quality comes with feeding for the most part. I only use pure organics.

I would start training it as soon as possable, as the plant gets older and bigger so does the stem makeing it for one hell of a job trying to type it down without it snapping.
General rule of thumb is for every foot of growth on the plant you should have a gallon of soil for the roots to grow in, if the plant does get rootbound it will hinder the health of the plant, quality and yeild of the buds.

well, thats a good question, I've had males show sex before females but I dont use this a rule of thumb by any means. Mainly because I've had it vise versa before as well. Best answer I can give you regarding why your male showed himslef first is "it just happened that way." But I can tell you that those "nubs" at the nodes are just new branches about to form. Trust me you'll know sooner or later. What you need to focus on now is how you're planning on training that thing, if you plan to at all. The pot you have it in is fine, just make sure and feed her* well!

BTW, your plant looks really decent buddy. Dont fix anything that isn't broken, ya dig? If it were me on your balcony everyday, I dont believe I would even LST that plant, just keep it that height and you'll be pleased.

thank you I think im just going to put a large box over it for 12/12 and start budding now.

gets cold kinda early here too, I definetly dont have the room to bring it inside either.

I also have the pot sitting in a container full of wet perlite and alot of roots are coming through. <--- Good idea? I did that instead of a drip tray.
