Been a fellow northern hemisphere grower I like pots best. The big plus for me is, as AFD says, versatility. If you know that the mother-in-law, or the local police choir, are coming round you can hide 'em. More importantly for me is that you can 12/12 'em, thus getting an earlier finish, hopefully pre-budrot, and by 12/12ing 'em you can grow some of the long flowering period strains which would never finish in time if planted in the ground. You can water pots from below thus ensuring the water goes where it is most needed and pots are easy to rotate for visual inspection of the plants. The plants I grow in pots certainly out perform my guerrilla grows, but thats doubtless due to the care and attention that gets lavished on them. Pots have to be big enough, they can get blown over and they add height but you can have the best of both worlds if you dig holes and put the pots in them, not quite "Now you see it, now you don't" but it works for me. I vote "POTS".
