Outdoor Weed Progress

Whats up i'm new to growing but i'm on week 3 of my Woods grown bud. Since i'm 2 hours away from the site i can't water it every day but roughly once per week. It looks like they're doing alright considering its rained only a few times since I planted them. What should i be expecting the next few weeks and will they survive without a water routine? Cheers

Indeed, the first thing i would do is get them in the ground with some room, or in their own pots. They are going to comete for sun, and soil space leaveing the weaker of the stronger ones to die off eventualy.

Hmm

Ok cool, but would a 5 gallon bucket work? The bucket i have now is probably 12" by 8" worth of soil, and i went with miracle grow plotting soil. Since its grown deep in the woods squirrels and deer can get to it so i'm worried about grounding it, but i do have it around a dead bush ticket which actually keeps the plants about 15-20 degrees cooler (blocks off alot of heat)

5 gallon bucket for all of those plants?! better off just giving each of them their own soil. I grew this sucker in a 5 gallon pot and it needed all the soil it had. You don't have to put them in pots that big , but if you leave them together, most will die off/turn male or hermie. good luck man.

edit: realized theres only about 4 gallons of dirt in the pot haha.

Whats up im on week 6 and progress is going well. I recently moved them to a better area for sunlight and we will see how that plays off in a few weeks. Taking the advice from you guys we emptied one of the pots and we found that the plants still had plenty of soil to grow, they only had a root space of about 3-4 inches. So we put new soil in the same pot and were going to wait a few more weeks until we put the females into their own pots.. When should i see sex?

first of all get those babies separated. they will compete for soil and space to grow. Next thing is if you keep them in their own pots, you will have to water more often, when they get bigger. Given your situation, being 2 hours away. Your best bet would be to dig two big holes in the ground, and put some good soil in those holes. Dig two holes at least 2 feet wide and 2 to 3 feet deep. And fil those holes with your good soil. Then transplant the seedlings into these holes with the good dirt. Then get some natural multch and multch around the plants. This will hold in the moisture. and keep other "weeds" from growing in your weeds place. Also it will help when you water, it wont disturb the new soil you have put there. The multch material will help disperse the water, so it wont erode it. i have done this a few years with good results. If you dont want to use multch, you could even use some dried leaves and other material like that, to put around the plants stem , and your super soil.

Ive never heard anyone swearing against peters, i sware by it, i only use peters and schultz. Miracle grow on the other hand doesnt make a good all purpose plant food, their soil is fine (most people think all their products are shit) their plant food has bad npk ratio for is and causes certain nutes to be locked out, mostly nitrogen and phosphate. The food is great for other plants, just not what were growing.

on other forums i suggest peters or schultz and people go ballistic saying dont ever use that shit its so bad this and that. i dont get it. it works fine for me and my plants dont differ much from anyone else who uses "the good nutes"

what do u use to flower? i have 2 schultz products. 2-7-7 and 10-54-10. im not sure of what i will use this year yet
