Cutting water for a few days

Well, I like to cut the water on my plants every once in a while, for like 2 to 3 days, just to make the roots dig deep and provide a more structured base. Does anyone else do this? If you do, do you see any pro's, any con's?

I usually water my plants once every three to four days, although lately its been a little bit more frequent because of this hot summer sun. The root systems, from what I observe at least, are pretty amazing from doing this. Like you said, it makes those roots streeeetccchhhhhh for the water.

Hey AimedForDeath -

I have found that by watering my plans a little less (less water by a bit and less often) I get a much bigger root system. Bigger root system means bigger plant!! The roots spread out and get more food out of the soil and more of the water out of the soil when they need it.

Bigger root system = Bigger plants = More Buds at harvest time!!
