Well, in the area i live, most of the ground is covered with 2 foot tall vegetation that breaks easily. So basically, once i walk through it twice, i have a nice clear trail to my plot.

So i was thinking about ways to stay in my nice location, but without making trails to it.

The best idea I've had so far was: zip lines.

I went to home depot and bought 100ft of 1/4" steel cable. (probably gonna get another 100 feet and move my plot 100 feet further into the brush.

I plan on attaching one end about 6 feet up in a tree (or do you think i should go as high as 10 because the line will probably sag.) and to another tree, at equal hight. (this is not a go fast zip line its a transport shit and myself zip line.)

I bought a big ass clip to pull myself along the cable to my plot.

Of course a big silver cable is pretty noticeable, especially with the anti rust polymer coating they put on it. So i bought some sage and brown spray paint and camouflaged the cable.

Does this sound like a good idea? any suggestions? Just thought I'd share.

You're going to avoid leaving a trail to your spot by using a zipline into your patch...

That's kind of leading them to it....

camouflage the zip line with green and brown spray paint and put it like 10 feet high in a tree so no one sees it.

Don't make it a speed zip line, keep it level the whole way so u have to pull yourself towards it

Why not just parashoot so you don't make rope marks on the trees?

hahahaha zip lining to the site.... that would just make me visit more often! and I already go there too much lol

It would be really dope, and could work if your plot is secluded enough

would be great for me instead of trudging through a swamp

make bringing water and soil out easier too

obviously the main problem is if someone does see it they would go right to your spot

I like the parachute idea

But hopefully i can get it high enough and camo'd enough that no one sees it.

I climb trees alot, and i noticed that humans are reallly 2d animals. we only look side to side and front to back, never up and down. i can be only 6-7ft off the ground, clearly visible in a tree, and people will walk right past me.

its only 1/4" cable so its really thin, and hopefully if i can get it the right colors no one will see it.

plus pulleys and buckets make transporting stuff way easier.

and if your really neurotic, you can always make like a spider web of cables that only you know the path to your plot, the others lead no where

hopefully ill have some pics for you guys this afternoon!
