Well, I'm growing an autoflowering strain for the first time this season. It's called Masterlow and it's a cross of Master Kush and Lowryder. I haven't actually completed a grow with it yet so I'll just go from what I've read.

Obviously, the main advantages would be the very short (around 60 days seed to harvest) cycle and the stealth aspect. The plant is better at blending in.

The disadvantage would probably be the yield, the yield is much smaller than you would get with other strains because of the size differences.

I would suggest you grow a cross of lowryder as the yields are supposed to be much better than regular lowryder.

Good luck!

I just ordered some lowryder number 2.
Hope to get a male so I can have some free seeds.

May do a grow log for them at some point.

Hope to get a male? You're in for a nice suprise then as they are most likely to be mainly males.

I was reading someone grow journal on here and they got 10/10 males with lowryder. There seems to be so many problems with that damn little plant, i'd go with Tokin' advice and get a lowryder hybrid

Percentage of females is the same with every type of plant: 60-70%. Because male plants dont need the help of insects to furtilize females, they transmit through air so less males are needed in nature to keep females furtilized and let them make seeds.

You can have bad luck, ofcourse, and get only male seeds, if they somehow receive trauma the plants are more likely to flower male aswel (root damaging, bug infestation etc).

There are some ways to influence the chromosomes that define whether a seed is male or female, read here: http://www.snow-white.nl/engeland/h4...EOFFEMALES.htm

grow on
