if someone could tell me when to switch from 20-20-20 to a flowering fertilizer that would be good

When the plant enters its flowering stage, its time to give it some bloom ferts.
Stop about 2 weeks before your think its time to harvest, this gives the plant time to cycle out all the nutes (chemicaly or organicly) through the roots, soil, etc so you dont have some funky tasteing bud, people also think this stresses the plant to do work on its own and increases yeild and potencey, i couldnt tell you if it does or doesnt personaly.

yes but how can i tell when its in flowering stage, do i start as soon as i see a little bud

As soon as you start to see stigmas at budsites, or any other place then internodes for that matter, the plant is flowering, look on the net for your location on sunrise and sunset times, when you are getting 12/12 for about a week the plant will have entered its flowering stage, youll notice it dont worry.
