Hi BlindingLight, I'm in exactly the same boat as you, in the east of the country and judging from youir picture the exact same greenhouse as you.
They're very good for sun but not so good for air circulation. I'm about 7 weeks into starting Purple Widow and am a complete novice so any tips welcome. Best of luck and keep us posted... |

Thanks folks, they look good but need to get more air around them but worried they might not be able to handle the wind in Ireland!
They're not purple power but purple widow, a mix of indica and sativa i think. I feed them with nutrients every second feed, water for the other feed about once every 5-6 days. I think the biggest one is showing the male 'balls', would it happen after about 7 weeks even in Irish weather?? best of luck to all the Irish outdoor growers, the odds seem to be against us slightly with the weather here.... |

Thanks kc33, think I definitely have two males at least outta my ten at this stage. I'm actually hoping I'm not too successful with the number of females as I don't think I could mange more than four!!
keep us posted on your progress and any tips are greatly appreciated... |

Thanks for the Posts everyone, good to know there is other weed growers across Ireland...
I agree that it is tricky to get Air flow around the greenhouse, i am trying to leave the door open for an hour or so each day, although with the wind sometimes this is tricky!! I have been watering my Plants every second day, and am gonna start using Miracle Grow once a week on them, can anyone advise if this is a good idea? Was also wondering (as i am a complete noob at this) if i would be correct in thinking that if i just let the plants grow themselves, when the dark nights come in around September time, the plants will bud themselves?? All advise greatly appreciated!!! |

your better off getting some stuff actually designed for cannabis, like iguana juice, never failed me.. all miracle grow does is tell the plants roots to absorb as much water as possible, this will help your plant grow in short term but if you want long term sucess get some propper food (iguana juice is only €25 in hydrophonics shop in dublin) for potent healthy big buds

Hi BlindingLight, yeahI can't see any of the 'balls' there, so it's looking good so far. I've isolated two that I'm 99% sure are males, they have the balls, I'll take some photos to show you them.
It's uncanny that we are using exactly the same Versatile Greenhose set-up...I'm leaving the door fully open these days for air, unless it's particularly windy. I also have stones/rocks around the edges to keep it down in bad weather. I'll post hose pics soon and good luck. |
