Just some quick questions

A friend of mine has about 8 seeds pretty much done germinating and he was going to plant the seeds outdoors, but is thinking about trying to sprout them indoors somewhere and then transfering them outside.
His spot is not on his property, but it is however near by a very large patch of Skunk Cabbage. Security from other people is not an issue but he asked me to stop by and take a look at his spot. The soil is always very moist/pretty wet since the skunk cabbage grows in very boggy swampy areas. The grow area is a good distance away but like I said it is still always wet there. He can only get to his plant 1-3 times a week. Do you all think that since it's near a swampy area and is continuously wet that watering only those days would suffice? Also, how often should he give his plants nutes? Is mid-late april still early enough to plant the seeds? Where he lives it's still about 70-75 degreesF in late september into early-mid october. Any questions or feedback you have would be great, Thanks.

I know it's late but Happy 4/20 to everyone!!!

I allways start indoor behind a well sun oriented window, then I get them outside still in their small pot and eventualy in soil where they will grow. Regarding ferts, I wouldn't give any. That's the beauty of planting directly in mother earth, and if the field is watered by cabages growers all the work is done. All he 'll have to do is prune from time to time to make it more discret.

Thanks for the heads up Drgonzo, I'll let him know his job will be easy.

Should he use any perlite or potting soil to plant his seeds or seedlings in? Or just plant it straight into the dirt?

Also, I've been told that while the plant is budding pruning off leaves or tips of leaves is bad for the plant because it will slow down bud growth and to just fold or bend the leaves back instead, is this true?
