I want to start a grow outside my house in Califonia by some trees where no one can see. I am worried because I live close to a air port and planes and helicopters fly by all the time. I wanted to know if they could spot them, or if planes are out looking throught the infared cameras and could spot it, I am only going to try and grow no more than 7 plants, do you think that this could be at any risk because of the planes and helicopters? I am just kinda worried about getting caught by that. Thanks

Its called LEO (Low Earth Orbit) cops, task forces, and coast guard use this method to scope out MJ. Google MJ siezures and arrests in your county and see how many busts have been reported in the last couple of years. Pigs love to brag. It would make sense to me that being so close to the airport would deter these agencies from flying around. Good luck!

Pilots are more concentrating on their departure and arrival procedures than looking for plants. From more than 100 feet high you can't make the difference from weed and strawberries. And at that height they are above the runaway far from arm.
Back in the good ole days when I was flying in the air force they asked me to keep an eye on a field. But this was a large scale field hidden in the montain that they had discovered on foot and they wanted to know if any cars was driving there. Of course I didn't see anyone...
Furthermore a pilot that would be able to recognize weed probably smokes it and won't run back to the police !

the police are not going to be allowed to hover around the end of a commercial runway. They'd have to be looking for more than 7 plants to justify putting a helicopter up anyway. i say grow on..

yea yo i see helis alot to but watch them when they go over i see the same news heli pass over my house every day. but i know its going to a highway to do the news report. and youre planting in trees so yea unless they stumble upon it youre good

Never take the same path to your plants

Try not to leave a trail, people and kids love to explore for fun

example:

Just the other day I was fishing and when I was done after putting my gear away I say a little trail along a creek and thought what the hell lets go for a walk

No plants but did find a 4 ft long rat snake which I prseeded to do my crock hunter impresion and capture it... crykie ... she's really pissed of now!

Looked at her for a few then let her go

then I was pissed cause I didnt take a pic with my camera phone

I fly cessnas all the time and me and the pilot arn't ever looking like that when coming in top land and at take off your cant see anything but the dash and the sky, so dont worry

Besides, You live in California, they won't know if your growing it legally or not. Don't they let some 'patients' grow it too?

Yea, In california, if you have a Marijuana club card, you are able to grow up to I think 4 plants legally, so people could grow, but just have to have a card to show proof, but I don't have no card. I have the seeds all ready to grow, but i'm all sketched out about planes flying over and the helicopters, I'm pretty sure they wouldn't be looking for them at night anyway, by the plants giving off heat. In the day time, theres no way anyone could see them, because they are tucked away in trees with plenty of sunlight. But I really don't want to risk growing unless I know no one would see them from the air.

Some of the planes say Highway Patrol on the bottoms of their wings (they fly very low) and often circle my neighborhood. Now, I live close to a highway, so of course there's going to be traffic planes and highway patrol and news helicopters, but some of the planes either don't have any markings, or just say Patrol on one wing.

It's all I think about when I hear a plan/chopper coming over my house, like, Holy shit, they know, they fuckin' know!

if you dont want big ass plants there train them so they are low to the ground more like a shrub or something ya know like others said or may have said train its kinda hard even if your a passanger to see a single plant even tree really from outside the airport fences maybe if you were taking pictures or something but yeah.

I live in the East Bay Area, right in between Richmond, San Pablo, El Sobrante and Hercules.

And yeah, I'm growing. I got six plants right now, four of which are Northern Lights and two of which are bagseed from different plants.

So then it would be safe to say that I can grow 2 or 3 plants in the trees by my house, the airport is miles away but planes fly by because it is a flying route and they fly over my house to get to the airport. I was only worried about planes or helicopters seeing them, or seeing them with infared at night, because plants give off heat. But I don't think 3 plants seperated would give off a lot of heat and would be detectable, but I'm no expert.

Text Signatures: 4 lines normal size OR 8 lines small size and up to 90 chars per line. Font sizes above 2 are not allowed. For images in signatures: 1 image up to 300 pixels wide, 125 pixels tall and 20k in size.
