Well, after looking at the forecast, it's not looking good here in Jersey.

35-50 degree weather in mid April, getting swamped with rainstorms over the next few days, I almost have no hope in my babies this summer, this weather is just too unpredictable but to expect the worst.

Anyone else here from NJ?

Nah man. I'm in CT and i basically get the same weather as you do, the storms anyway, but you guys get it worse for sure. Im close to the water so the breeze is pretty rowdy here in april and may especially. If you have any serious rain though post up a topic of "bad rain warning". that would be helpful...
also look at this, this brought me hope, if u have balls, i can jus tslip a few babies in a real garden for awhile untill the weather clears with this over everything.....

yeah, i live in south jersey and the weather lately is getting pretty ridiculous.

i'm germinating some seeds now, they should sprout the root and be able for planting at the middle or end of april. whether for may on looks good though which is when i'll be getting them in the ground.

it's my first time planting, and i was gonna get them out there earlier but then i heard about this cold whether and the nor'easter and decided against it.

however it's giving me time to develop an outdoor irrigation system and get the soil well fertilized and in a good condition for when i do plant them.

just gotta hang in there. this is not the first time the winter weather has carried over to april. just gotta persevere, and cross our fingers for a long hot summer. this weather will vanish quickly in the next week or so, you dont have anything to worry about, its not the middle of may yet or anything too severe.

It might sound like hard work, but i just move a certain amount of filled, plastic wrapped pots to my outside growing area (1x cycling every 60liters with a big sportsbag). and when the weather is good enough i bring my plants there with my dads car, and pot them over
