Swamp growning
i have a large amount of swamp near me, is it a good idea to grow seed in the ground, in a swamp/bog?

too many variables... it could be great it could be the worst spot in the world... maby you could just throw some potting soil in the mix to help?

I would just grow in pots with sterile soil, and run ropes down from both sides of them into the swamp, so that they would be self-sufficient as far as water is concerned.

How thick would the rope have to be? Plus how do we know if the water is contaminated or not good for the plants?
Swamp water is usually dark in color.. would it still work? |

Swamp Growin'
Get some chicken wire 24" works just fine in swampy soil make tubes 18" in diameter (spray paint them with Krylon Ultra-flat Brown) put them where ever you are going to grow and fill them with 50/50 mix of potting soil and "Swampy soil matter" they will wick water up thru the mix without over watering...just visit once and a while to add some ferts....the wire will allow them to breath....top each with a clone...or seedling if ya do seeds put two in each....the wire will stop muskrats and rabbits...pots arent two feet high
