need some advice/help

hello everyone, I am totally new to growing (havn't even started yet) and I feel that my only option is outdoor. I live very close to some annoying neighbors would jump at the chance to call the cops on me as they know that I am a pothead but I have an alternative : there are some woods a few hundred feet away from my house and there is two entrances to these woods so I could alternate my paths to keeps people from getting too suspicious. I have read up on growing but I really have no idea what to do. I hate dealing with dealers and their prices and their thug ways, I can't fucking stand it...so I want to grow my own, nothing too big. One or two plants should (from what I have read about weight + subtracting a few ounces for my inexperience) suffice my smoking for about a year or so. I would also like to grow at lease one or two more plants to sell all the yield from as I need money right now. I am just looking for some tips and some advice; do you guys think that my woods idea is too risky because there are houses directly bordering it but I really don't think that any one really goes back there any more because all of the kids I used to know that were stoners in my neighborhood have either grown up or moved away and plus, now that I am older I dont even use the woods to smoke in any more because I just smoke in my house. Also, I have found this area (I really havn't found it, as you can clearly see it if you just walk on the main path) that is about a 25 foot, 45 degree angle hill and beneath it is some flat land and farther back there is some swamp land and kind of a lake that floods periodically (not a problem as far as ruining my plants) but there are some trees and shrubbery that wouldn't be too hard for me to hide my plants near. I am pretty worried about the size and smell of the plants (I will probably be using medium quality seeds, not really a specific kind, you know how when you ask a street dealer "what kind" they just make up some bull shit about the usuall words such as "haze" or "hydro" when in reality it's just average outdoor pot that they don't really know the name of). A little off topic; but I have heard so many conflicting reports about pot quality that I don't know what to think...I have heard from seasoned, veteran smokers that indor is the best because so many variables can be controlled and the pot can be enginered to any way that the smokers want, but I have read in grow guides that outdoor is the strongest because of the amount of natural sunlight that reaches it but then you have to worry about THC loss due to the elements. If someone can answer that for me I would be very greatful. Back on track: I also am kind of worried about animals and I think that some rat poison and a make-shift, camophlague fence should take care of that but I think that a fence would be a dead giveaway so I don't know what to do about that. I am sorry if I am rambling on and I am also sorry if you guys see a lot of these threads...but this is my first post on Grasscity and I need some help. Thanks in advance for any helpful posts.

well my suggestion is one of 3 things
1)walk around looking for a pine tree if you find a good full one hide it in there
2)hide it in the bushes and pray (put chicken fence up b/c the pots will give it away anyway
3)dig a big hole, fill all but 2 inches of the soil with potting soil, cover the 2 top inches with the natural dirt around there (very good to make it natural looking)

what ever you chooser has it's pros and cons just look for a thorn patch you should be okay

RUN SOME FISHING LINE AROUND AREA PLANTS ARE IN 5-8 INCHES ABOVE GROUND, TO STOP RABBITS AND DEER sry caps locked --spread moth balls around area -will keep animals and bugs away-- top that thing and maybe LST it to surrounding vegetation to make it blend in well- make sure it gets 6 hours at min of DIRECT sunlight-- if you plant in ground near pine trees use lime to help neutralize the soil- bone and blood meal and some water go a long way, and find natural mulch from area such as dead leafs or even logs or tree bark and surround base of plant as this will hold in the moisture to help cut back on waterings-- even use peat or perlite in your soil mix to help with water retention-------good luck-peace

^^ yes all a low line would to is trip it (this would be kinda funny to see but helpful? no) and make sure not to use anything under 15 pound test... all it would do is break if you used under that

id say the low line and the mothballs will keep deer out, they spook easy, but use strong test, you can also buy some fox urine from the hunting dept and put cotton balls in a film container and poke a couple holes in it and hang from tree, to help run off the deer
